Our side of the desk
When you press the seal, this is what lands in front of a lawyer. We show you because you should know what we see.
1. The in-tray
Five sample briefs from invented clients, and yours if you have drafted one. The most urgent clock sits at the top. Open any brief to read the memo a lawyer sees, and the reply it drafts.
The in-tray opens here.
2. What the site did before we picked up the phone
- 2.1
The fee conversation. You read our fee in writing before you pressed the seal, and the memo shows us the same figure. The first call can start with your matter.
- 2.2
The conflict names. You gave us the names of the other side, so we can check that we are free to act for you before you tell us anything private.
- 2.3
The clock. If a time limit might already be running, the brief worked out the last day and moved your file up the pile.
- 2.4
The appointment. You chose a time from the lawyer's own diary. Our reply confirms it, or offers the next opening if you left it open.
Marlowe & Fenn is a concept build. Briefs you create stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere.

Fifteen minutes on the phone, no charge, and an honest answer about whether you need a lawyer at all.
